The Jig Seat consists of only six parts and can be put together effortlessly in just two minutes. Slide the parts together like a simple puzzle and the chair is ready for use. No screws, nails or glue required.
A solid chair
The Jig Seat is made of birch plywood. This strong and appealing material provides a sturdy chair for long term use. The standard version of the chair is made out of plain plywood. A clear coated version of the Jig Seat is also available.
About the designer
The creator of the Jig Seat is Jos Blom. Jos is a partner at FLATarchitects, an Amsterdam based architecture studio engaged in small-scale architectural projects. Over the past few years Jos has focused on the development of easy to assemble and reusable building systems. An example of this is the successful 21panels project – an easy to assemble temporary wooden house to be used at fairs and festivals. The design of the Jig Seat expands on this concept.
